Application Production Support or APS is an important vertical of CIB that deals with keeping the CIB Businesses applications up and running in production and various transformational activities.

Position Purpose

This position of AVP is within Client Engagement and Protection Application Production Support Team. The primary purpose is to manage the deliverables of team of close ~15 members (Direct + Indirect reports and contract staffs) split across Mumbai and Chennai.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Application Production Support teams for multiple CEP applications across multiple regions APAC, EUR and AMERICAS 
  • Act as a single point of contact for Users, Support team and Management to expected service level.
  • Drive the governances within and manage the expectations of Regional, Operations and Business stakeholders. 
  • Drive various Automation, Monitoring & Tooling common purpose initiatives!
  • Drive Critical incidents and Crisis Management
  • Drive Obsolescence / Infrastructure hygiene / Vulnerabilities across the platform being supported.
  • Focus on continuous improvement by reviewing existing process and procedures for effective utilization of resources
  • Focus on applications and work collaboratively with Development, Infrastructure and Operations team on optimisation of the services
  • Work on Upskilling the team’s technical & domain expertise

  • Strong knowledge on Unix and Oracle/SQL
  • Strong knowledge of Service Management process (Incident, Problem, Change)
  • Strong knowledge of active monitoring and alerting tools eg:- Dynatrace 
  • Understanding of Log aggregators i.e., Splunk/ELK etc.
  • Understanding of observability tools i.e., Grafana / Prometheus etc.
  • Knowledge of Scripting, Ansible or Python etc.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing
  • Abreast of trending tools and technologies e.g. Devops
  • Good communication and Interpersonal skills
  • Good people management skills
