CIB Culture

At BNP Paribas CIB, our ambition to deliver the best of our people, products and solutions is anchored in a number of cultural values, embedded at ever. These include collaboration, responsibility and a strong focus on client needs.

Collaborative

We work as one bank across teams and geographies, sharing in our collective ambitions, with respect for all identities and ideas.

At BNP Paribas, we have one team spirit. I’ve received tremendous help from colleagues and industry peers and undertaken a number of successful projects that would not have been possible without the hard work of all the team involved. I see BNP Paribas’ culture of collaboration as something really well embedded that adds all of value for clients.

Responsible

We foster a culture of safety, trust and good conduct, embedding sustainability in everything we do.

I am part of an amazing team, and we all have the same ambition to help our clients improve their ESG performance. A few years ago, we took part in the development of a CSR Screening tool within CIB which proved successful and which has inspired the Group in the deployment of a new process to identify the ESG risk profile of our corporate clients. I strongly believe that taking responsibility is a key asset of our CIB culture and that working closely with our clients in their transition can have a real impact on the world of tomorrow.

Client-oriented

We listen to and anticipate the needs of clients, harnessing the best of a diverse and agile workforce to deliver market-leading solutions.

Being client oriented means that we continually work to listen and learn about what our partners want most, whether they’re internal or external, and deliver it the best and sustainable way as possible. Having a client mindset is essential to our success because it is a constant reminder of the “why’ behind our decisions and actions. It relies on a sense of credibility, shared responsibility and strong desire to do well.
