We are looking for a Client Account – and Oversight Officer Custody for our Custody & Clearing Services department, that is situated within the Securities Services business line of BNP Paribas SA Amsterdam Branch.

The position you’re applying for/Your new role

The Client Account – and Oversight Officer Custody is situated within Securities Services Netherlands in Amsterdam in the Banking Services Operations team. In the role you will report to the Head of Banking Services Operations and be part of the Client Delivery Business Line. Major interaction is with the local Investment Services Team, Operational & Permanent Control, many international teams within operational BNPP teams abroad and our clients.

You are the driving force for ensuring and overseeing the delivery on the promise for our clients, who are invested globally. You discover and communicate development needs, act as point of escalation and manage a close collaboration with processing teams in different jurisdictions.

Your responsibilities

  • Monitor the service delivery seeking for high quality in line with the client SLA
  • Understand the clients’ specifics and respective SLA in detail
  • Contribute to the Service reviews with clients
  • Act for allocated clients as the second line of escalation             
  • Act with responsibility for avoid risks for the clients and the Bank
  • Run operational client facing activities and overarching queries handling from existing clients, delivering support to develop the best possible sustainable solution
  • Work closely with the BSO team and colleagues from other departments locally, centrally and in the International Operational Hubs
  • Contribute to the creation, maintenance and execution of a secure and efficient oversight function for outsourced or nearshored Banking Services
  • Run the internal BSO outsourcing oversight meetings, ensure clear documentation
  • Represent CIB2S Netherlands Banking Services Operations with clients and in global relevant committees.

Who are you

  • Bachelor or University degree in Economics, Financial Management, Business Administration
  • Custody background (+3 years), ideally with experience in the Dutch Institutional Market
  • Strong analytical skills, commercial acumen and change agent attitude
  • Advanced MS Excel skills and good general IT skills
  • Native Dutch and fluent in English, both verbally and written
  • Proven ability to work within an integrated international Banking model
