Business Overview:

The G10 Rates business offers a comprehensive suite of interest rate products to address the full spectrum of our client’s needs from financing and market access to yield enhancement and hedging. Acting as primary dealer and market maker in all key markets, we offer liquidity in primary and secondary markets in government bonds, interest rate derivatives, inflation products, structured products and repo.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide liquidity to clients by defining trading and inventory strategies.
  • Book, monitor and manage all risk through use of dedicated trading and risk management systems.
  • Fulfill PNL objectives as determined by management.
  • Monitor book positions and discover innovative ways of internally reducing risk across different strategies.
  • Generate trade ideas on both a fundamental and relative value basis.
  • Partner with sales to market BNP’s platform and enhance BNP client experience, while also helping increase client transactions.
  • Contribute to our digitalization initiative. Work with e-trading development to further BNP’s offering of USD Rates solutions for BNP’s client base.
  • Running morning and end of day risk checking processes as well as P&L reporting
  • Comply with all required regulatory and compliance training.
  • Adhere to USD Rates principles and guidelines which aim at protecting client interests, promoting market integrity and respect other supporting functions

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Detailed knowledge of USD rates market
  • Detailed knowledge of Inflation derivatives and Cash market
  • Trading experience in USD Rates and broader fixed income markets
  • Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline such as math, finance, engineering
  • Knowledge of BNP internal models and systems an advantage

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Notable track record in marketing making and PNL generation in inflation rates market
  • Sell side experience and ability to build and monetize franchise opportunities across institutional and corporate clients

The expected starting salary range for this position in New York is $225,000 to $315,000 annually. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business line, and geographic/office location.
