Large-Cap Corporate Coverage Analyst / EMEA Coverage Group Officer (all genders) at Corporate & Institutional Banking Austria

The Large-Cap Corporate Coverage Associate (internally EMEA Coverage Group Analyst (ECG Analyst)) plays a fundamental role within the Corporate Coverage business model by assuming a key role on 4 dimensions: commercial focus, credit knowledge, Client Due Diligence and ESG. The ECG Analyst will develop high valued skills on these four dimensions and will work in a team of analyst/associates directly and indirectly supporting the local Coverage (Senior) Bankers. It is a perfect position to start a promising career in the global financial industry. The ECG Analyst will report to the Austrian Head of ECG (Also Senior Credit Advisor (SCA)).

Tasks & Responsibilities: What awaits you

  • Support the (Senior) Bankers in the preparation and follow up of the commercial strategy and contribute to the development of the client relationship and profitability
  • Ensure the active monitoring and reporting of corporate risks on his/her portfolio with the Senior Credit Advisor support
  • Assist in the preparation and writing of credit proposals and, when applicable, sanity check of Credit Proposal and monitoring of Credit Committees and Annual Client Reviews
  • Support the (Senior) Bankers in the coordination of client activities across the BNPP global network
  • Assist in the implementation of transaction banking products (Cash & Liquidity Management, Trade Finance) in coordination with the local Cash Management Officer , Global Trade Solutions Officer and other relevant stakeholders
  • Ensure the updating and accuracy of the Client Revenue Management tool
  • Be responsible for the client due diligence and for ensuring adequate client due diligence and exercising constant vigilance over the business relationship of his/her clients
  • Ensure consistent and comprehensive enforcement of BNP Paribas Compliance rules
  • Analyze and monitor the CSR performance and strategy of clients
  • Perform bank-internal ESG assessments of clients
  • Follow-up on bank-specific ESG standards and procedures

 

Expertise & Soft Skills: What you offer

  • Degree in Finance and/or Business Administration and/or Economics and/or Accounting
  • Understanding of financial accounting under several standards (IFRS, Local GAAP) and credit risk
  • Basic knowledge in Investment & Corporate Banking
  • Professional experience in an international set-up is an asset
  • Ability to collaborate and willingness to work in an international team
  • Results driven & client focused
  • International mindset and confident to speak in public
  • Very good oral & written communication skills in German & English
