The FRESH IT Team is responsible for the implementation of third party and in house developed reporting solutions for the Liquidity, Finance and Risk sponsors. Their scope of responsibilities includes the interaction with multiple stakeholders, project management, business analysis, technical and functional support, and development of IT solutions in line with best practices established by CIB and the BNP Paribas group

The position at a glance

  • Work collaberatively in a global support team in a follow the sun model with members based in India, UK, Spain and Canada.
  • Provide dedicated first/second line functional user support on several finance systems, responding to general queries working closely with Finance, Front-Office, IT Operations, Risk and other Finance and reporting systems teams.
  • Analyse and log issues, wherever possible aiming to give immediate response to problems, and provide proactive advice
  • Ensure that the solution meets the requirements set out to cover the business line’s needs
  • Act as the contact person within the support or maintenance teams and for the business line in relation to data and functional aspects

In detail

·       Liaise with users and provide functional expertise and consultative support on several systems, mainly on LAP, the banks general ledger.

·       Investigate and resolve functional issues raised by the user community or linked to the daily batch report.

·       Facilitate the communication between team members, business units, IT, and PMO organization in multiple geographical locations.

  • Liaise with the IT Support teams where their assistance is required.
  • Update systems static data tables where required.
  • Document issues for future reference where appropriate and cross train team members.
  • Ensure appropriate procedures are kept up to date.

·       Raise and manage tickets for the users via the use of an online ticketing tool.

·       Clarifies, performs critical and constructive analysis and, where appropriate, compares the business line’s needs against the entity’s strategic plan.

·       Ensures solutions meets the requirements set out to cover the business line’s needs.

·       Carries out or helps with the test activities within the functional scope.

·       Supports the business line in carrying out user tests.

·       Helps to identify business line impacts generated by the solution and with the development of action plans.

·       Acts as the contact person within the project and/ or maintenance teams and for the business line in relation to data and functional aspects.

·       Shares knowledge about the area of expertise and provides functional support.

·       Carries out reporting in accordance with the operating rules and practices defined for the scope.

·       Helps with the coordination of user communities.

·       Build partnerships with assigned development and stakeholder teams.

The strengths and skills that will help you succeed

  •      Bachelor’s degree or relevant Master degree, business, accounting or information technology (or international equivalent)
  •      Minimum 3 years of work experience in the field of accounting and / or accounting system and / or implementation in the financial services industry.
  •      Accounting background in CIB Business.
  •      Strong analytical, management and problem solving skills.
  •      Creativity and innovation / problem solving.
  •      Client focused, ability to collaborate / teamwork.
  •      Communication skills

  •       Given the vast majority of our clients, both internal and external, are based outside of Quebec and Canada, specific language requirements may apply. Knowledge of the English is required.
