Position
Purpose

The successful
candidate will be joining a Global Market IT Application Production Support
team (APS) that supports multiple Risk and P&L systems which is used by
teams worldwide. The team is responsible for supporting key applications used
by front office traders to monitor their risk and PnL. The users are part of
Global Macro business line, one of the highest grossing team generating
revenues for the group.

We are looking
for a senior talent who will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth
operation of these applications while actively collaborating with traders and
IT teams to mitigate risk effectively. Someone capable of bringing vast
knowledge and strategic insight to optimize the risk generation batch chain to
deliver faster and earlier results, elevating our performance to new heights.

The team is
split across 5 sites London, Singapore, Mumbai, Montreal and New York looking
after a group of applications: risks and P&L explain, risk presentation,
analytical libraries and market contribution tools.

The new member
will be based in Singapore taking care of risk and P&L daily checks for
Rates and Credit perimeters. The applicant needs to be able to work
autonomously unsupervised and have good communication skills to interact with
other team members globally.

The candidate
will work in a team of 5 people (including themselves) supporting mainly
in-house applications which are mainly hosted in Europe and developed by teams
in UK. Most of the solutions are internal development.

Support staff
is organized globally on a Follow the Sun model. Handovers from New York and to
London

Key
Responsibilities

Shift Rotas

·       
Needs to be flexible towards working hours.
Shifts start from 7am Singapore time

Incident and
Problem Management

·       
Manage/Own 
P1/P2 incidents and problems end to end;

·       
Communicates with internal users and management
over incidents and post-mortems;

·       
Diagnoses issues: establishes their root case;

·       
Initiates task force over critical incidents;

·       
Liaises with upstream and downstream systems
support teams as appropriate;

Direct
Responsibilities

·       
Assist troubleshoot and resolving incidents and
problems on supported application.

·       
Monitor and maintain system health and
performance.

·       
Develop, maintain and support Disaster Recovery
plans on the weekend (bi-annual exercise).

·       
Participate in improving our monitoring and
alerting tools for the support team to be more proactive on incident resolution
and prevention.

Contributing

Monitor group mailbox, assigning/escalating
appropriately

Basic of majority of the application the team
supports with the ability to be L1 support when necessary.

Adherence to Audit, Compliance and Risk
guidelines.

Knowledge
Management and Documentation

·       
Documents support procedures on wiki;

·       
Owns team knowledge base on wiki for all
in-scope applications;

·       
Provides support to end-users on how to use the
application;

·       
Ensures Follow-the-Sun and regional support
teams are trained as required, in particular over new releases;

Communicates a daily handover document to
Follow-The-Sun support teams, where appropriate;

Ensures that all application support logs are
fit for purpose, ie meaningful and actionable;

Actively seeks reduction of dependency on
manual interventions by support staff, e.g leveraging enterprise batch
scheduling and enterprise monitoring tools;

Implement self-recovery and automated detection
of incident leveraging on learnings from past incidents;

Participates to release cycles for functional
validation on staging/preproduction and production environments;

Review release and coordinate around
deployment/post release checks;
