The position at a glance

As part of the human resources team and under the responsibility of the Head of Training and Development Canada, the training specialist will develop new training offerings, fostering a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing within the Bank. You will support the responsible of training and development Canada in maintaining and improving Canada’s training offer

In detail

Administrative
Manage the catalog with a variety of stakeholders: external service providers and internal trainers / facilitators.
Coordinate training logistic, keep the internal training website up to date, set up satisfaction surveys and analyze the results
Use industry standards and best class benchmarks to enhance programs and the employee experience.

Project
Build new development offers aligned with the present and future needs of different business lines and employees.
Understand the challenges, propose and then implement the solutions.
Deliver innovative and relevant development solutions for employees, managers/leaders, and teams by fully utilizing our internal resources and where applicable, exploring alternative, external solutions.
Develop and maintain the training offer for new joiners: knowledge of the company and the platform, skill development in the team.
Contribute to cross-functional programs related to employee development.

Participate in different regional projects with the US

Communication
Facilitate the community of experts “Canada Academy” and the training program in “social learning”.
Engage, develop and maintain the internal trainer network.
Collaborate effectively with regional partners to identify synergies and implement best practices
Manage strategic projects/initiatives within the assigned business unit, execute on all deliverables with excellence, and communicate with stakeholders and key partners.

Data analysis
Monitor new trends in training and propose innovative initiatives.
Leverage data from performance reviews and other talent assessment tools to conduct needs analysis and identity gaps at the individual, team and organizational levels

The strengths and skills that will help you succeed

–      

–       Bachelor’s degree in training or in a relevant field related to project management
3 years of experience in project management
1 year of experience in training development in a banking institution an asset
Experience in organizing training events an asset
Exceptional facilitator with elevated verbal and written communication skills
Unyielding passion and drive for personal development and learning.
Has a high standard of excellence and is client-focused
Can develop impactful, client-ready presentations
Ability to communicate and influence various stakeholders
Strong organizational, prioritization and initiative skills
Excellent collaborative sense
Creative, innovative and proactive

Good command of Office suite tools, in particular Excel and Powerpoint
Mastery of Sharepoint an asset

–       Given the vast majority of our clients, both internal and external, are based outside of Quebec and Canada, specific language requirements may apply. Knowledge of French and English is required.
