Shared Service Center – Data is a global BNP Paribas CIB IT team responsible for the delivery of IT platforms and solutions across a wide range of areas including Analytics, Business Intelligence, Big Data and ETL to all business lines like Global Markets, Global Banking, BP2S and functions like HR, Compliance of CIB.  

The Shared Service Centre is based in Paris, London and Chennai.  Client-facing functions are primarily based onshore and delivery functions are primarily based offshore

Position Purpose

  • Design and development as per requirments
  • Define Standards, Guidelines, Best Practices and Frameworks / Assets
  • Work across multiple projects being delivered by the CEP (DATA) to ensure target architecture standards are maintained
  • Work with IT teams outside the CEP  to provide architectural guidance and best practice
  • Reporting and presenting to architecture committees as required

Contributing Responsibilities

This resource type focuses on gaining technical expertise and developing business relationships as well as making decisions or recommendations for solutions, which may affect the overall outcome of the assignment. Additionally, this resource should demonstrate the ability to work closely with clients/users to meet their requirements. This level should typically be used for a mid-level, more seasoned, fully proficient resource.

 

·         Develop Power BI reports.

·         Build automated reports and dashboards using Power BI and other reporting tools.

·         Understand business requirements to set functional specifications for reporting applications.

·         Developing Power BI Desktop to create dashboards, KPI Scorecards and visual reports.

·         Establish row-level security on data and comprehend Power BI’s application security layer models.

·         Be experienced in tools and systems on MS SQL Server BI stack including SSRS, Power query, POWER BI and DAX.

·         Be able to quickly shape data into reporting and analytics solutions.

·         Have knowledge of database fundamentals such as multidimensional database design, relational database design and more.

·         Involved in creating technical documentation in the work assignments. 

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

3-6 years of experience in IT, with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in Power BI development.

·       To understand business requirements in the BI context and design data models to convert raw data to meaningful insights.

·       To create dashboards and visual interactive reports using Power BI.

·       To identify KPIs with clear objectives and monitor them consistently.

·       To design=, develop, and deploy Power BI scripts and perform efficient detailed analysis.

·       To perform DAX queries and functions in Power BI.

·       To create charts and document data with algorithms, parameters, models, and relations explanations.

·       To perform SQL querying for best results.

·       To define and design new systems by analyzing current ETL processes.

·       To make technical changes to existing BI systems to enhance their functioning.

·       Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to effectively communicate technical and non-technical concepts to stakeholders.

·       Solid understanding of Agile Sprint methodologies.
