About the job

  • The Risk Senior Analyst mission is to encompasse the monitoring of exposures on the BNPP’s clients, in order to ensure that BNPP is not exposed above the company’s risk appetite. This will include monitoring, analysis, decision making and constant discussion with all stakeholders

Your Main Activities Are

1 – Quality management of commitments:

  • Define and/or assess the risk profile for different commitments
  • Contribute to the management of risk variables in relation to policy, including the cost of risk

2 – Reporting and monitoring of corrective actions:

  • Draw up dashboards and regulatory statements
  • Update, optimize and ensure the validity of the parameters of the risk calculation models
  • Contribute to the accounting/risk reconciliation
  • Propose corrective actions
  • Transfer the “risk” culture to all employees
  • Ensure comprehensive and reliable reporting to management and the various business lines as well as to regulators
  • Check compliance with authorized credit amounts and authorizations

3 – Risk monitoring and recommendation formulation:

  • Conduct prudential analysis when developing new products and services.
  • Analyze positions and risks against existing limits
  • Ensure the quality and effectiveness of risk monitoring procedures
  • Ensure compliance with decisions
  • Contribute to the proper valuation of assets and their collateral
  • Ensure the correct measurement of economic capital
  • Define the various risk scenarios and quantify the potential losses of these scenarios through stress tests
  • Make recommendations on risk policies while proposing actions to reduce risks where appropriate

Professional Qualifications / Candidate Profile

  • 3 to 5 years of work experience in banking or finance industry
  • Strong Academic background & analytical skills
  • Ability to work within a team, communication skills and information sharing skills
  • Open mindset to tasks and change
  • Fluent English
  • Good knowledge in French (professional standards)
  • IT skills (Excel/VBA/Macro/Python)

It would be considered a plus if the candidate has:

  • Knowledge of the Wealth Management business environment

Profile and Skills to Success

  • Masters Degree in Business or Finance
  • At least 4 years of experience in Credit Risk / Risk Management / Finance or Banking         
  • Advanced level of English and French, both written and oral
  • Knowledge in MS Office Pack (Excel, Macros)
  • Adaptability
  • Ability to share / pass on knowledge
  • Ability to collaborate / teamwork
  • Communication skills, both written and oral
