Position Purpose

This is for having Storage Administrator position for SAN, NAS, Object base storage solution to help Storage Lead for technical support on Storage.  The member of IN IT Storage infrastructure setups and maintains Storage infrastructure to provide stable, cost-effective Storage environment to the business across PAN India.

Responsibilities

 

Direct Responsibilities

 

Team membership

·       Ensure to be proven as good team player to deliver the objectives assigned to the team.

 

Technical Management

Services & system deployment:

·       Set up & maintain IT common infrastructure architecture in India.

·       Provides operation support to SAN/NAS storage across PAN India.

·       Support projects in India region that are managed by India storage team

·       Maintain configuration standards and design guidelines for storage systems, management systems and required software.

·       Provide technical assistance to deployment and operational teams.

·       Maintain and adhere to standard operating procedures followed in the bank. 

·       Perform storage resource allocations and migrations when required complying the process.

·       Conduct deep storage performance analysis, perform fine-tuning and produce RCA report for review and retrospect.

·       Automate repetitive and mundane storage tasks.

 

Maintenance & Support:

·       Provide Incident troubleshooting and support for the Storage infrastructure (possible night calls; WE work; shift work from 7:00 to 21:00)

·       System’s performance monitoring and fine-tuning

·       System’s problem management and recovery

·       Storage provisioning and usage control

·       Storage system security and vulnerability management

·       Capacity management and reporting

·       Storage usage, dashboard  and charge-out report

 

·       Must have a continual improvement and risk mitigation focus and proactively improve the monitoring, efficiency, reliability, capacity and quality of all IT services under his/her managed perimeter.

·       Guarantee functioning of the infrastructure/services in India, taking into account business requirements

·       Responsible for having an operational up to date BCP / DR documented and tested

 

Contributing Responsibilities

 

Business relationship management

·       Liaising with Business Application Teams, Regional IT Teams, Global Infrastructure Support and IT Security Teams to resolve issues, complete tasks and deliver projects in a timely fashion.

 

Governance

·       Planning and completing designated projects from start to end, providing regular updates on task and project status and ensuring project deadlines are met on time.

·       Responsible for the SLA section related to the tower: SLA definition, reporting, dashboards.

·       Ensure the coordination and collaboration with Global Head of the relevant functional area.

·       Ensure that the instructions and guidelines of the Group (esp. IT Security guidelines and Global ITI&P Governance) are respected and the architecture is validated.

·       Responsible for controls to be run for as well as the closure of audit points related to the tower.

 

 

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

  • Minimum 12+ years of system support experience on enterprise storage platform.
  • Minimum 2 years of project management experience
  • Technical knowledge in EMC VMAX & ECS, Pure storage, NetApp, Brocade switches.
  • Possess sound knowledge of storage hardware and system services (volume management operations, file system management, data migration, snapshot & replication technologies, connectivity technology).
  • Good understanding in storage upgrade process and hand-on experience in performing storage code upgrades.
  • Working problem determination skill
  • Basic operating systems knowledge
  • Able to clear and effective communications between and across the teams.
  • Able to provide various dashboard information.
  • Perform trouble shooting and RCA for backup failures.
  • Preferably working in a financial institute
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
