Position Purpose
The Supervisory Analyst (SA) will review equity research reports to ensure that the reports comply with all requirements, policies and guidelines specified by US FINRA in addition to meeting in-house quality standards and policies for equity research reports. In the review process, the SA will also have to review the financial valuation models prepared by equity research analysts. The SA has to ensure adherence to BNPP’s equity research report publishing process.
Responsibilities
Direct Responsibilities
o Review equity research reports to ensure they comply with regulations and in-house research guidelines. This includes Supervisory Analyst review to ensure compliance with US FINRA regulations and policies.
o Ensure reports are logically consistent and offer suggestions to improve the quality of the report.
o Ensure adherence to BNPP’s equity report publishing process.
o Review financial valuation models prepared by analysts to correct errors or non-conformance with standards and guidelines.
o Edit reports to ensure correct grammar, spelling and language.
Technical & Behavioral Competencies
· Strong knowledge of finance, especially equity valuation and global financial markets
· Excellent writing and editing skills
· Strong eye for detail and sound financial knowledge including knowledge of financial modeling to review financial models
· Ability to meet tight deadlines for publishing equity research reports
· Excellent inter-personal skills and maturity to manage analyst expectations
· Solution-oriented mindset to help resolve any potential disagreements that may arise with analysts when reviewing research reports
Specific Qualifications (if required)
· Have a FINRA license after passing the Serie-16 exam
· At least 5 years of experience as a Supervisory Analyst or as an equity research editor
· Extremely desirable if candidate experience working as an equity research analyst or associate
· MBA/CA/CFA qualifications are highly relevant
