About the Job
  • Corporate Coverage Trainee will work with the Coverage Portugal and Local Business to actively develop the franchise with an objective to increase the Business Line Revenues
Your Main Activities Are
  • Support of Coverage Portugal and Local Business (Cash Management and Trade):
    • Reports and statistics to Head of Team and members
  • Support in the management of the clients’ portefolio, including but not limited to:
    • Assist in client relationship ensuring commercial follow-up on initiatives launched
    • Mailing and check on quick responses to clients
    • Take an active role in preparing Know Your Client (KYC) procedures in cooperation with Relationship Manager (RM)
      • Initiation and preparation of onboarding/recertification KYC processes, understanding the purpose of each client onboarding or recertification request and, if need be, explains BNP Paribas KYC process to the client liasing with the Due Diligence Team (DDT)
    • Take an active role in preparing Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) assessments and Clients Action Plans in cooperation with the banker
    • Organize and ensure minutes for the regular meetings and action plans with other business lines
    • Ensure invites and follow-ups on internal initiatives( eg:. In-person or virtual conferences, etc.)
    • Data Intelligence by helping cleaning client lists, contacts, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) lists, keeping archive of selected clients, following up on credit approvals and contracts
    • Help respond to Request for Proposal (RFP) questions or proposals related to Portugal and pricing validation
    • Attend, if necessary, meeting with clients and accompany them with their daily cash management business
    • Prepare client pitches and commercial material and take the responsibility for following up on action points until completion
    • Perform data input such as reporting, pricing, etc.
    • Constantly evaluate and understand customer banking practices and trends in the market
Profile and Skills to Success
  • Master’s degree in Finance or Economics
  • Finance knowledge
  • Fluency in English (both oral and written)
