Business Overview:
The Repo Financing team within FICC is a repo/stir trading desk closely aligned with Rates, Credit and FXLM business units. The desk market makes secured financing transactions and short duration products. Candidate should have and will develop skills in repo (actual and synthetic), XCCY, duration and basis trading. Working closely in a team environment for collective objectives is essential.

Responsibilities:
- Pricing and risk managing repo, synthetic repo (TRS, bond forward, T-Lock, XCCY, bond basis), collateral swaps, bonds, and other derivatives. Underlying repo securities will include DM, EM, MBS and Credit.
- Assisting in building the Global Markets Franchise by developing key client relationships, both internally and externally.
- Providing market liquidity through market-making securities and determine pricing within well-defined products mandate and risk limits.
- Roll will require ultimate familiarity with accounting, regulatory, capital treatment of products as well as liquidity, trade life cycle and downstream systems.
- Working collaboratively with Sales, Origination, and Strategy/Research teams.
- Maintaining open communication with team and direct line management to resolve risk and P&L discrepancies and fulfil notification requirement.
- Writing/presenting daily commentary to sales force and clients
- Monitoring market news and events and evaluate the risk and opportunities for clients and the firm’s positions and strategy.
- Identifying trades with the right profitability and risk/reward balance.
- Direct contribution to BNPP operational permanent control framework.
- Booking trades in trade capture system, managing risk and p/l.
- Liaising with BNPP middle-office and back-office to facilitate and monitor settlements.
- Working with operational support functions by identifying and valuing all business and transaction-related risks, including market, credit, operational, compliance, legal, regulatory, and reputational risks.

- Working knowledge of US Bonds and their dynamics.
- Credit, FX and EM market/financing/product experience highly desired.
- Extensive network within the bank advantageous particularly in Back and Middle Office.
- Applicants should be degree educated and highly numerate.
- Programming languages including but not limited to Excel/VBA, SQL, and Python.
- Possesses the ability to recognize market opportunities when they arise, and the agility to capture them.
- Understands and values all business and transaction related risks including market, credit, operational, compliance, legal, regulatory and reputation risks
- Has an intuitive risk/reward assessment across different scenarios and risks, and seeks to understand correlations across risks
- Seeks to identify potential hidden risks not captured by models
- Complies with all local laws, Stock Exchange rules and demonstrates market integrity

The expected starting salary range for this position is between $110,000 to $130,000 annually. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business line, and geographic/office location.
