ABOUT THE JOB

 

MISSION

 

Assisting and supporting FIC team in all day-to-day activities related to its financial and institutional clients in Spain and Portugal to promote all of BNP Paribas’ product lines, both domestically and globally. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Working with the bankers and business lines when appropriate:

–                   Follow up on the day-to-day on clients’ needs and opportunities arising from the different business lines.

–                   Being able to prepare client materials with product lines’ implications. 

–                  Preparation of internal briefing notes and presentations for senior executives of the bank.

 

Assisting with onboarding / setting up clients:

–                   Interaction and support on relevant “know your client” (KYCs), due diligence and other compliance requirements. Follow up on the whole recertification KYC process for all the FIC Iberian portfolio. Coordination with due diligence and compliance teams.

 

Assisting in monitoring industry developments and client dynamics:

–                  Building of detailed understanding of investment banking and non-investment banking products relevant to Financial Institutions.

–                  Be informed about all news and updates related to FIC clients.  

–                  Analyze and assess client financial dynamics and market trends. Perform quarterly financial results analysis for banks and insurance companies. 

 

Contact with Risks team and preparation of client reviews for credit committees:

–                  Provide support on the management of the different requests from business lines on potential transactions.

 

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

Studies

–                  Strong Degree, preferably in a financial/business-related discipline.

 

Experience

 

–                  0–1 year experience.

 

Languages

–                      Spanish (mandatory)

–                      Fluency in English (required) 

 

 

SKILLS

 

Technical

–                  Experience in PowerPoint and Excel.

–                  Strong written and verbal communication skills.

–                  Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. 

 

Transversal & Behavioral

–                  Interest in Financial Institutions and global markets in general.

–                  Client focus – Sees stakeholders as well as external clients as “customers”.

–                  Highly motivated and pro-active individual wanting to be part of FIC and to help grow the already-strong franchise.
