Reporting to the Global Head of Client Development Strategy & Analytics, the role will focus on delivering global projects and initiatives across Client Development contributing to the growth of Global Market’s franchise. The role will have a local reporting line into the Global Client Analytics (GCA) team.
The mission of the client development team is to support global and regional sales management to define and execute the client strategy via data analytics, competitor benchmarking, market intelligence and qualitative insights collected across GM teams. The Client Development team facilitates the client strategic planning process, including defining the client segmentation and designing and executing various client initiatives.
Client Development plays a critical role to prepare and enable internal client reviews, broker reviews and internal governance forums like the global or regional client boards. Client Development ensures that the relevant KPIs are in place to monitor the performance of the overall client franchise and for each strategic client.
The Portugal Client Development team supports the regional client development hubs located in the US, UK, France, and Hong Kong. The Portugal Client Development team consists of two groups 1- Analytics and 2- Digital Solutions & Processes. The analytics group works on developing data driven strategies and KPIs to measure our performance and continuously streamlines and automates our data driven needs. The Digital Solutions & Processes group ensures we have systemic process to deploy our strategy across regions in a globally consistent approach, including broker review inputs, action item logging, accurate referential data, calendar coordination.
Your Main Activities Are
- Team management: manage the day to day needs of the Portugal Client Development team with a focus on enhancing what the team delivers across the organization, ensure the team is building their skills and continuously improve the level at which they operate
- This individual will also be responsible for leading/delivering projects in addition to managing the team (ie. “producing manager”)
- Ability to understand the business strategy and ensure it is communicated and embedded into the thought process for all workstreams
- Developing analytics and strategy around our client segmentation and KPIs to measure performance against them using internal and external data
- Building a strong working relationship with the regional client development teams and cross-functional teams including GCA, business managers, COOs
- Ensuring client referential and data integrity across all key data sets, contribute to client data governance
- Implement framework to continuously automate and scale our analytical capability and digitalize our core processes from end to end (including leveraging opportunities from AI and LLM models piloted across the bank)
- Oversee the prioritization and delivery of cross-functional teams that support Client Development
- Promote the usage of Client Development’s analytical capability and tools
Profile and Skills to Success
(3 – 5 years experience)
- Academic Background Business Intelligence/ Data Analytics / Finance/ Data Engineer
- Managing a team of analysts ( years)
- Data Analytics using Python, SQL and ETL processes Data visualization tools Tableau
- Strong project management skills, ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to build strong relationships at all levels of the organization
- Strong data analysis/interpretation & problem-solving skills
- Strong interest and passion for data integrity and controls
- Clear understanding of how changes may impact other processes, reports and group
- Attention to detail in all components of work
- Global Markets or Investment Banking experience is preferred
- English (Fluent)
