About the job

  • The Counterparty Risk Senior Analyst is in charge of monitoring, analysis and reporting of market and counterparty metrics related to risks held in the trading portfolios of the bank
  • Additionally, is responsible for ensuring the data quality of the metrics produced to monitor such risks and to participate to the continuous improvements of the monitoring, analysis and reporting framework of such metrics

Your Main Activities Are

  • Assisting with the production and reliability of supporting material discussed during the main positions meetings and main risk committees related to Counterparty Risk. Such committees can be internal as well as with external stakeholders as supervisors or rating agencies
  • Analysing the evolution of the risk metrics included in the reports (e.g. stress tests, sensitivities, market value, current exposure, potential future exposure, margin) and raising data quality issues to the relevant teams
  • Producing regular Supervisory reports in an accurate and timely manner while analysing the data and performing controls in coordination with other senior team members
  • Assist with the production and reliability of supporting material discussed during the main risk committees as well as meetings with regulators and rating agencies within the MI CCR scope (e.g. Financial Markets Risk Committee, Comite de Control Interne des Risques et de la Conformite (CCIRC), quarterly JST meeting)
  • Assisting with the delivery of small-scale projects or well-defined tasks on major projects within the RISK function
  • Contributing to process improvement and innovation efforts by further develop/automate tools and processes (industrialization) that quantify, explain and convey risk insight, to expand and streamline the analysis being performed at different levels of the bank

Profile and Skills to Success

  • Bachelor Degree in Mathematics / Statistics or related
  • Up to 2 years of experience in Risk and Controls / Data Analytics or similar
  • Advanced level of English, both written and oral
  • Attention to detail / rigor
  • Ability to collaborate / teamwork
  • Communication skills, both written and oral
  • Client focused
  • Decision making
