CIB Client Engagement and Protection IT (CEP IT) has focus on applications servicing Client Lifecycle management, Due Diligence /KYC , Customer Relation Management,  Service Request Management, Referential and Data Quality, Transaction monitoring, Reconciliation, Dat Platforms, and Anti-Money Laundering.  Technologies being used include Java, .NET, Angular, Informatica, PowerBI, Fenergo, Siebel, Actimize, Camunda, Drools on private cloud infrastructure. Agile and DevSecOps practices are widely used. Position Purpose

Our Client Engagement & Protection (CEP IT) technology team is seeking for a Director to head the Digital Client Journey technology program and foster the overall growth and development of the Client Engagement & Protection technology franchise in Bangalore.

 

As a Head of Digital Client Journey, the ideal candidate would be a seasoned, international, and dynamic leader with a strong technology background, particularly in cloud architecture patterns. This individual should possess robust solution and software design skills, enabling them to effectively lead senior software engineers. With over 15 years of experience in the Financial Services industry, the candidate would bring valuable technical insights and expertise and great drive. While experience in the Know Your Customer, Transaction Monitoring or Customer Servicing and Relationship Management is not mandatory, it would be a valuable addition for the role. This combination of leadership, technical proficiency, and industry-specific knowledge would make them a perfect fit for the role. 

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

  • Ownership of the Client Journey digitalization domain, to deliver Investment Banking business ambition to re-design the tools supporting the end-to-end coordination of Client Onboarding, Recertification and Off-boarding
  • Collaborate with senior management globally to align strategy and provide vision for the platform
  • Being the most senior leader in CEP IT Bangalore, we expect the candidate to own, support and facilitate Client Engagement & Protection IT development in Bangalore (150-200 FTEs)
  • Ensure transparency and effective communication across stakeholders 
  • Propose, Review and Challenge Application Architecture and Design
  • Monitor system performance and lead initiatives to optimize processes and technology.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with technology, regulation, data security and privacy. 
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to team members to develop junior team members and ensure successful project execution. 
  • Manage budgets, succession planning, career progression, appraisal, and compensation

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

  • 15+ years of experience in the technology domain for FinTechs, financial services, Investment Banking, and/or technology industries.
  • Excellent knowledge about cloud design patterns and development principles, notably service oriented architectures.
  • Prior hands-on experience around multi-tier architecture, system design, architecture, Java/.NET, workflow engines, caching, observability, database, development tools and frameworks. 
  • Experience engaging with senior executives; navigating complex, global organizations; and fostering collaborative decision-making among senior stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership skills and proven ability to manage large teams and develop talent.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong ability to translate complex topics to simple and compelling narratives.
  • Ability to multitask and operate with flexibility in a fast-paced environment to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong project management skills, delivery/result oriented and attention to detail.

Nice to have skills:

  • Exposure to financial security environment and topics: continuous KYC, Fenergo lifecycle management tool, Transaction profile or related processes such as Customer Relationship Management, AML applications. 
  • Experience with system integrations, migrations, cloud platforms and data management in the financial services sector.
  • Experience in presenting ideas verbally, through emails or presentations to CXOs. 
  • Experience on machine learning, GenAI.
