EMEA Coverage Group Officer (all genders) – Corporate Banking Analyst – BC Nuremberg at Corporate & Institutional Banking
BNP Paribas Corporate & Institutional Banking is a bridge between large multinational and mid-sized companies with (Corporates) and institutional investors as well as financial services providers (Institutionals). The division is, among others, a leading provider of investment banking, dept capital markets and sustainable financing services.
In your new role, you will play a fundamental role within Corporate Coverage by assuming a key role along three dimensions:
- Strong commercial focus: You will actively contribute to the development / profitability of the client relationships. You will support bankers with the preparation and follow-up of client meetings as well as with the generation of commercial ideas. You will drive commercial projects aiming to become a relevant and valued stakeholder in the client relationship.
- Deep expertise in credit analysis: Within the credit process, you are responsible for drafting credit papers as basis for credit decisions. Together with your Relationship Manager, you are the main contact person for business delegation holders as well as the credit risk department.
- Sound knowledge of regulatory / Know Your Client (“KYC”) related processes: You will be driving regulatory / KYC related processes within the bank as well as in front of the client. By covering a large range of topics, you will develop highly valued skills on these three dimensions.

Tasks & Responsibilities: What awaits you
- Contribution to the coverage of large international and mid-sized corporates, follow-up of business opportunities, strategic business reviews and preparation of budgets
- Coordination with local coverage bankers around the world within the BNP Paribas network
- Preparation of and contribution to client meetings and calls with product specialists (Corporate Finance, Debt Capital Markets, Cash Management, Global Trade Solutions, etc.)
- Ensuring the updating and accuracy of the CRM tool, implementation of Client Action Plans together with the business lines
- Main responsibility for credit analysis of prospects & clients, preparation of credit papers as basis for credit decisions
- Monitoring of credit risk for an existing client portfolio
- Structuring and documentation of loan transactions
- Responsible for deal implementation & follow up of its life cycle
- Coordination of regulatory / KYC onboardings or recertifications with regards to regulatory / KYC compliance
- Ensuring consistent and comprehensive enforcement of BNP Paribas ESG / CSR policies and procedures
Expertise & Soft Skills: What you offer
- Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or comparable academic education with advanced knowledge of financial analysis and accounting
- First professional experience in Corporate or Investment Banking, e.g. as an Analyst
- Client focused attitude
- Ability to teamwork
- Very good communication skills
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel and Powerpoint in particular)
- Fluent in German and English
