Its strategy of positioning itself as a bridge between corporate and institutional clients makes it possible to connect the financing needs of corporate clients with institutional clients seeking investment opportunities.

Key Responsibilities of the role

The Finance Business Partner will have the following responsibilities:

  • Acting as the main point of contact for the key Shared Service Centre stakeholders in Romania regarding all financial topics and liaising with our Head-Office in Paris and Finance EMEA as and when required.
  • Assisting the SSC management in controlling their costs and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Managing the transfer pricing invoicing for the assigned SSC activities and the allocation of shared costs.
  • There is potential to extend support to other shared activities in other countries within the CEE region in the future.
  • Maintain a strong dialogue with the SSC management on all financial topics including tax
  • Calculate and prepare the SSC invoicing and monitor the timely receipt of these and discuss the invoices with stakeholders.
  • Support the SSC budgeting process.
  • Review and report the Costs and Headcount evolution on the SSC activity.
  • Accounts payable handling (obtaining necessary approvals and allocations for invoices related to SSC).
  • Analyze and work together with SSC and Finance EMEA Platform in finding the proper allocation of different types of costs.
  • Participate in the monthly accrual process.
  • Take part in the monthly closing, controlling and reporting.
  • Contribute to the appropriate cost center and monitoring structure
  • Active contribution to the preparation of various ad hoc reports and investigations to the SSC management.
  • Participate actively in various projects related to the SSC development
  • Shall be informed and follow internal processes, procedures and regulations pertaining to the role.
  • Take part in regional initiatives.
  • Back-up the team on assigned tasks.

What qualities do we look for?

  • Strong background in Finance with a good ability to articulate and communicate both in writing and verbally with non-Finance people

  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to details and interpreting information and to act based on it.

  • Previous work experience as a finance business partner, preferably in the financial sector is considered as an advantage
  • Good MS Office knowledge and Finance systems, e.g. SAP, Hyperion/SmartView
  • Fluent in Romanian and English.
