IT PMO Quality & Process Analyst

 

CIB IT Brazil is responsible for IT development, business/technical analysis, project, maintenance, and support for the range of applications within Brazil, covering all CIB business areas. IT development teams work closely with our business partners and users as part of the Americas team, to understand new requirements from clients, exchanges, industry, regulators and other stakeholders, and code against those requirements to enhance our platforms. The team also dedicates a large amount of time and effort to contribute to the overall platform engineering strategy to enhance our resiliency, stability and scalability across businesses and applications.

 

The CIB IT Steering & Governance team supports the CIO Brazil in structuring and managing the initiatives under the Technology perimeter, playing a key role in driving, enhancing & maintaining routine tasks of the CIO Office. The team manages IT strategic, program, financial & governance activities for the overall IT Clusters with presence in Brazil: Global Baking IT, Global Markets IT, ALMT, FRESH, CEP IT, CIB2S, IPS – Asset Management. Scope of activities includes budget and headcount management, alignment with Amer & Global teams in a regional perspective, governance structure & management for IT Portfolio, providing information to COO Office and Q&E on IT Topics.

 

The successful candidate will join the team reporting directly to the Head of CIB IT Steering & Governance Brazil.

 

Main responsibilities:

 

IT Project Portfolio and Program Management:

  • Oversee the CIB IT project portfolio, ensuring governance through the Project Portfolio Committee.
  • Act as a SPOC for central teams and IT managers, managing recurring Clarity tool updates (project costs, resources, PRJ allocations, codes, and risks) and reviewing PLC governance assessments.
  • Enhance portfolio quality by reinforcing global standards and strengthening procedures.
  • Oversee IT project management quality assurance and IT Cluster governance.
  • Manage high-complexity programs and oversight of isolated projects, respecting mandatory methodologies; Perform scope, budget, schedule, resource and communication planning and control.

 

Vendor Management:

  • Elaborate and control SIF requests, SOWs/OS, purchasing requests, consultant sourcing, and invoice approvals related to the IT Portfolio.
  • Perform monthly reviews with Local Procurement for consistency in external HC reports.
  • Support smart sourcing for external consultancy recruitment plans and assist in the hiring process for IT consultants.
  • Provide vendor management support, including invoicing and payments related to IT Projects.

 

IT Tech Debt Portfolio Management

  • Oversee the Tech Debt topics backlog (Vulnerabilities, Obsolescence, etc), ensuring governance and monthly presentation through the IT for IT Committee.
  • Liaise with IT Production and ITO CCCO teams on strategic initiatives and targets, reporting progress on behalf of IT CIO team.
  • Manage the consolidated backlog KPI reporting and act as a SPOC for Brazil IT teams, managing recurring PowerBI updates and reviewing mitigation plans with the responsible teams.

 

Transversal Activities:

  • Support audits and 2LOD reviews within the IT perimeter.
  • Act as a liaison between IT and non-IT teams on strategic initiatives.
  • Contribute to the progress of IT projects and transversal topics, such as organizational changes and governance.
  • Drive outcomes with meaningful impact on the team or department.

 

Position Requirements:

  • Advanced knowledge in IT Governance, IT Project & Portfolio Management.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint MS Project.
  • Advanced English and Portuguese (spoken and written).
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, Finance, Business Administration, or related fields.
  • Proven ability to influence peers, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Strong decision-making skills, demonstrating good judgment in complex and impactful scenarios.
  • Ability to work autonomously and deliver high-quality outcomes.
  • Leadership capacity for projects, processes, and programs.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and teamwork facilitation skills.
  • Highly organized, proactive, energetic, and motivated.
  • Prior experience managing programs and projects.
  • Expertise in communication planning, WBS creation, budget management, and roadmap control.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with senior IT leadership and committees.
  • Prior experience in business or project management.
  • Technical proficiency with reporting tools.
  • Previous experience in the banking sector is a differentiator.
