Coverage
- We match the right expertise to the right client. At BNP Paribas we do that through two closely linked but distinct teams – UK Coverage and Corporate Clients Group
- Join Coverage and become the trusted adviser for a diverse portfolio of UK based companies. Coverage bankers serve as the primary point of contact between the bank and corporate clients
- You’ll develop deep client relationships, understand each client’s financing, risk management and strategic objectives
- Additionally, you’ll orchestrate bespoke solutions by leveraging the full suite of BNP Paribas products and expertise across the institution. and gain a deep commercial understanding of the UK market
- You’ll also get to dive into multiple transactions across Advisory (M&A, valuations and private equity), Acquisition Financing, Loans, DCM (Bonds) or ECM (IPOs) throughout multiple sectors, i.e. Industrials. All of this while gaining a deep commercial understanding of the UK market and collaborating with product experts across the bank

The Programme Overview
The Internship
- Our nine-week Coverage internship gives you the chance to experience life at the center of corporate and investment banking. After a week of training, you will spend eight weeks in one of our business areas, taking on real responsibility from the start and contributing to live client projects.
- This is your opportunity to develop skills, build your network, and demonstrate your potential for a place on our graduate programme.
- You may only apply for one Summer Internship per academic year (Global Banking- Coverage, Capital Markets or M&A, Global Markets, Technology or Securities Services)
- As part of this internship, you may be considered for the 2028 Global Banking Graduate Programme in London ONLY.
What You’ll Do
- Work on live transactions and client projects
- Research and analyze industries and companies
- Assist in preparing pitch books and presentations
- Support the development of financial models and valuations
- Learn how credit and risk are assessed and help draft client reports
- Collaborate with different product teams to deliver integrated solutions
What We’re Looking For
To join the Coverage Summer Internship, you should be in your penultimate year of study and:
- Be fluent in English with strong written and verbal skills, additional languages are advantageous
- On track for a 2:1 degree or equivalent
- Strong interest in banking and financial markets
- Excellent analytical and numerical ability
- Organised, detail-focused and able to manage time effectively
- Strong interpersonal skills and a professional approach
- A proactive mindset and eagerness to learn
- Familiarity with financial modelling or coding (an advantage but not required)
