Who will I be working with?
You will be working in one of our Global Markets teams as a Level 4 Investment Operations Specialist Apprentice (CISI Qualification). Global Markets offers consistent client service and innovative solutions for investment, hedging and financing opportunities. Our integrated platform ensures clients have everything they need in one place, across asset classes and across the world.
What will I be doing?
This role works within the operational and administrative side of the business which will require you to perform complex and specialised tasks and become fluent in the Bank’s systems and processes. Such duties can include:
- Working closely with Sales and Trading teams to optimize pre and post-trade booking efficiency
- Coordinating with Middle Office and Operations to guarantee timely and accurate transaction settlement
- Enabling global clients to access electronic trading capabilities (FX, Rates, Repo, Credit)
- Serving as primary support for over 30,000 clients, fostering strong relationships with Sales, Trading, and IT stakeholders to resolve issues promptly and effectively
- Providing real-time monitoring of trades and systems, identifying and addressing potential issues
- Partnering with Electronic Brokers to enhance trading capabilities and expand market access
- Strategic and dynamic vision to help Sales adapt to market, regulatory and process change
Technical Skills and Qualifications required for the role
- Three A-levels or equivalent to 96 UCAS points (and GCSE Maths and English)
- Preferred candidates who are finishing A-levels in 2025 or attained within the past 12 months
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Excellent attention to detail skills
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Strong interpersonal skills
