Purpose and Scope of Role

Purpose:

•    We are significantly expanding our product offering over the next few years in exotics and correlation.
•    As we develop new models we will need support to test pricing and risk measures that are generated in the new systems for new products.
•    Stress scenario testing, Greek validation and model scenario runs will be increasingly important as we increase our footprint in the exotic and complex space. Having a resource to help us on this would significantly reduce our time to market and time for repairing bugs.

Scope: 

•    While the role is based in London, all the initiatives will be used by the FX Options desk globally (US, EMEA, Asia).

Key Responsibilities of Role

In their role, the candidate will:

•    Build inventory monitoring tools for new exotic trades including: vol budget monitoring, bend value tracking, vol
swap breakeven levels etc.
•    Work with Trading, Risk and Quant Strategists to prototype new risk measures adapted to complex products.
•    Work with strategists to suggest new quantitative relative value trade ideas to sales.
•    Be involved with trading for creation, scripting and modelling of new single currency and multicurrency payouts.
•    With trading, sales and structuring, build restructure monitors for exotic risks in the book to pitch to clients.

Experience, Qualifications & Competencies

•    A minimum of a Masters or PhD in a quantitative subject such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Quantitative
Finance or Engineering;
•    Excellent programming skills: Python, SQL is a must;
•    Data manipulation and database experience;
•    Interest in financial markets, economics and quantitative finance;
•    Experience of electronic markets, models and arbitrage strategies is not a prerequisite but a strong plus;
•    Delivery driven mind-set;
•    Strong interpersonal skills and proactive approach to problem solving;
•    Ability to work under pressure and multi-task;
•    Strong organizational skills;
•    Team Player.
