The position at a glance
The APS FRESH and CEP Manager is responsible and accountable for daily support and health of the production environment for a set of applications under FRESH and CEP perimeter. The Manager is responsible for a global team spread between the Americas and India.
In detail
Team Management
· Manage the day to day operations of the APS team for the applications and platforms in scope (FRESH and CEP)
· Address production issues, audit findings, IT security findings and user’s needs for assistance with all relevant communications on time and safely manner
· Participate in the hiring process
· Onboard, develop and train staff ensuring that production security should be the important aspect
· Manage distribution of support activities between Canada and India
· Train, Lead, guide and conduct appraisal of team members
· Time Management for the team (good knowledge of Clarity, TOMNET)
· Lead initiatives to anticipate issues and propose long-term solutions minimizing manual activities
· Mentor the team for new automation (e.g. daily health checks and DR sync etc.)
- Lead operational meetings related to Production for different work streams (e.g. weekly/bi-weekly Production update meetings, change control meetings, Production KPI/ metrics)
- Some flexibility in working late could be needed
Reporting & Special Projects
· Participate in project elaboration phases to ensure application production team is aware of upcoming changes, and the team has required skills for supporting changes post-launch
· Regular reporting to line manager for prioritization and escalation
· Liaise with IT Management, IT work streams, Infrastructure, business stakeholders and APS teams and resolve production issues/ provide periodic updates on Production Health
· Represent the APS team in front of business users and stakeholders
· Perform control result analysis and reporting with the help of the service delivery team (in the form of KPI) and take up corrective actions as needed
· Perform production readiness for upcoming projects considering different facts such as effort estimation for production support, business continuity plan, vulnerabilities and GoldenApp entries with correct details, etc.
The strengths and skills that will help you succeed
· 10+ years of IT experience (preferably in Production Support)
· 5+ years of management experience
· Functional knowledge of retail banking, Regulatory reporting, AML and compliance
· Knowledge of Surveillance, Cybersecurity and Compliance areas
· Good knowledge of ITIL processes
· Knowledge of Unix and Windows environments and Microsoft Azure Cloud fundamentals
· Good expertise with web applications (Business Object, OBIEE, Qlik-View etc.)
· Good expertise with data warehousing and reporting technologies
· Hands on experience for Regulatory reporting, Audit and other compliance related areas
· Strong communication skills (written and verbal), including stakeholder management
· Good organizational skills
· Good MS office skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
· Professional attitude and good interpersonal behavior
· Autonomy and adaptability;
· Proactively takes the initiative
· Global financial products knowledge
· Project management skills
· Given the vast majority of our clients, both internal and external, are based outside of Quebec and Canada, specific language requirements may apply. Knowledge of the English is required.
