About Business line/Function:

ISPL Compliance Hub is focused to protect the reputation of the Group and effectively manage risk across all business areas by providing support to various Compliance functions. At present, the department is broadly organized into divisions, which embed into the areas they support to provide services for Global Compliance Training, Capital Markets Surveillance, Electronic Communication Surveillance, Compliance Migrations Co-Ordination, Personal Account Dealing, MIS and Projects support. Position Purpose

The Group Compliance function ensures compliance with international regulatory and internal policy requirements. This function requires understanding of the systems and compliance processes support such as KYC, KYS, AML, trade surveillance and sanctions monitoring.

 

The role requires strong experience in project management, transformation and industrialization initiatives including advanced software used in AI and RPA domain. The role holder will work closely with stakeholders within ISPL as well as Onshore to carry out various digital automation and industrialization projects across business lines, as well as support (as needed) as a business analyst on RPA and other transformation projects. The individual will work closely with the internal project team as an IC (individual Contributor) and contribute to project activities as defined below

Responsibilities

 

Direct Responsibilities

 

  • Contribute as an individual project manager or BA in assigned Robotic projects, liaise with functional and Business heads to build solutions and deploy RPA solutions end to end.
  • Perform high level assessment for processes across various locations and business lines and assess whether the processes are suitable candidates for the automations.
  • Effective and timely communication of project status, development progress among all project participants. Updates on actions and follow up with dev. / cross functional teams
  • Engage, initiate and oversee UAT testing and signoff process for the projects undertaken.
  • Support the change management of the processes with the onshore teams including risk mitigation
  • Provide support post go live
  • Be able to bring objectivity to the review of latest technologies and analyse the cost implications, scalability and regulatory requirements while implementing new technology (e.g. machine learning, blockchain and their relevance to compliance processes).

 

Contributing Responsibilities

  • Stay up to date with projects assigned to self and Local team, Manage Stakeholder expectations w.r.t Projects support, Planning and communication. Ensure RPA governance framework is adhered to by the team.
  • Deliver appropriate reporting content, KPI metrics to beneficiary and Local management, with continuity of reporting and transparency on actions as per agreed KPI
  • Efficient tracking of Project progress, feasibility assessments, efficiency analysis, solution design and implementation plan.
  • Proactively communicate with on-shore users in case of issues or other related topics.
  • Draft and communicate effectively – BRDs, Solution Design Documents, Operating procedures, KPIs, workflows, PPTs and promotional presentations.

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

  • Experience in business analysis and project management. Experience in IT projects is preferred. Experience of managing RPA projects is mandatory.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with global stakeholders, end users and cross-functional teams
  • Project management skills, Organizational and presentation skills
  • Able to work independently on assigned projects with limited supervision and also support/ monitor team assignments.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and people management skills, be able to translate group objectives into measurable KPIs for team.
  • Able to make informed decisions on a wide range of complex business ideas and technical issues.
  • Experience in banking, payments or compliance domains with an exposure to banking products and systems will be very useful.
  • Knowledge of latest technologies including machine learning and cognitive computing technologies, AI, Data analysis tools, SDLC and Agile methodologies will be preferred.
  • Experience working within a project team (BAs and PMs, developers) in a Global matrix environment will be a valued addition.

Specific Qualifications (if required)

  • Minimum qualification is Graduation. Post graduate degree in management, engineering or IT Project management certification will be an added skill
  • Overall 10+ years’ experience and relevant 4+ years in managing digital and transformation projects (RPA, AI, Machine Learning, Python automations).
  • Good understanding of compliance processes such as KYC, Customer Due Diligence (CDD), Control testing, Professional Ethics, Market integrity, Trade surveillance, AML & CTF, Sanctions, etc.
  • Knowledge of Business intelligence tools, RPA platforms, Python, JIRA, Tableau, PowerBI, MS Visio, MS Planner, Projects, MS Office/365 and other similar tools used in Project management is desirable.
  • Self-driven, working knowledge of compliance control framework and Risk methodologies.
  • Project Management certifications such as PMI, ITIL, Agile etc. will be a good value add.
  • Professional training and Certification on Banking and Financial products, product development, AI, RPA and Machine Learning will be an added advantage.
