Position Purpose

Provide a brief description of the overall purpose of the position, why this position exists and how it will contribute in achieving the team’s goal.

Main Objectives and Purpose:

 

The ‘Client Solutions’ Servicing / Relationship Management Role:

 

· The team acts as a central point of contact for Prime Services clients (hedge fund and institutional clients), working with various internal departments to ensure clients’ needs are understood and met.  They promote a consultative approach through deep knowledge of their clients and their portfolios, offering appropriate solutions and guiding them through the organisation.  

· The ISPL team supports the handling of post trade queries and assists the wider APAC Prime RM team located in Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, and Australia.  

 

Specific responsibilities are listed below:

 

Responsibilities

 

Direct & Contributing Responsibilities

 

· Post-trade responsibilities – ensure seamless delivery of Corporate Actions, Margin calls and resolution of client financing issues.

o Margins: Analyze & review margin swings, oversight of margin call issuance, ensure it’s covered by clients in a timely manner.

o Corporate Actions: Resolution of queries related to upcoming CA events, paid and accrued dividends & coupon events. Timely receipt of elections on CA events.

o Cash management: Oversight of wires processing and manage funding requirements/cash break resolution with clients.

o Controls of TPP (Third Party Payments): monitor TPP queues and provide validations if necessary

o Responsible to answer all administrator’s queries excluding trade management (Non ops nature of queries). Answer Client queries in a timely manner

o Partner with Transition to ensure new clients are properly setup (reporting, pricing, rehyp, margins etc)

 

· Operations oversight and technology development assistance.

o Act as an escalation point for existing APAC Prime Services clients including the resolution of issues not resolved by Operations, IT, other internal departments. 

 

· Client reviews and close Collaboration with the wider APAC Prime RM : 

 

· Swaps:

o Setup: ensure templates – including swap preferences, calendar, pricing terms – are correctly setup

o Resets: work closely with Ops to ensure timely agreement and settlement of financing & Equity reset cash flows.

 

· Existing clients additional setup:

o Responsible for setting up new markets for existing clients (EE, Stock Loan, IT and Ops connectivity)

 

· Platform Development:

o Work with Product Development team to identify, propose and help implement new platform functionality and enhancements to enable our offering evolve to meet our clients’ needs,

o Be the APAC RM SPOC on all improvements points and be responsible to draft the business requirements and provide support on the testing & delivery phase. 

 

· Regulatory Updates:

o Develop sound understanding of regulatory changes within the industry impacting clients/business.

o Responsible to update the wider team of significant regulatory updates (across the whole of APAC markets)

 

· Controls & Procedures: 

o Perform certain level-1 controls and ensure resolution/escalation of issues.

o Responsible to update the procedures & best practices doc

o Responsible to perform certain required remediations exercises as/when needed.

 

 

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

· At least 5 years previous experience in Prime Brokerage Onboarding / Transition role

· Excellent communication, collaboration, interpersonal skill and ability to lead and manage project independently. 

· Independent, resourceful, excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail and able to deliver within the project timeline.

· Strong understanding of MS Office suite and its application (Word, Excel, Power Point)
