About the job

  • The Finance & Strategy function (F&S) ensures, for the BNP Paribas Group, the production and publication of accounting and financial management statements necessary for the management of the Group, financial and tax optimization along with the external growth strategy. It also plays an alert role vis-à-vis of the General Management
  • F&S count +1800 employees specialized in Accounting, Reporting, Performance Steering, Tax, Control, Regulatory and Project to mention few of them.  F&S is organized around 3 mutualized regional platform (America, Europe and Asia/Pacific), 1 Shared Finance Service center located in India, Central F&S teams located in Paris and decentralized Finance, Tax and Development departments located in each BNPP country presence
  • The Infinity EMEA Finance & Strategy Platform is the Regional EMEA Mutualized platform and Group platform delivering services that covers the whole financial dimension: Accounting production activities, reporting, control, transformation projects, IT and GDO. Our platform serves EMEA Countries and CFO´s, Group Head Office and also worldwide entities when it refers to projects (Transformations & IT). The Infinity EMEA Finance & Strategy Platform is located in a dual location Madrid and Lisbon

Your Main Activities Are

  • The Project Manager within Finance Implementation Projects Lisbon will be responsible for the delivery of the solutions during the implementation phase of the projects which encompasses to: Lead his/her project, organize the tasks between the teams and ensure the good communication and understanding within the teams; Manage priorities accordingly to all teams involved; Monitor and report on capacity planning, workload plan and budget of his/her portfolio of projects; Ensure required staffing to support projects delivery; Assess risks and manage alerts within his/her portfolio of projects; Coordinate the relationship with FIP Banking Products or Capital Markets Products managers on his/her scope of responsibility; Be responsible for the standardization of the solutions across the department (methodology, training); Monitor the permanent control within his/her portfolio of projects, and any related remediation plans; Contribute to projects committees accordingly on his/her scope of responsibility; Contribute to committees with main stakeholders accordingly FIP global governance

  • This project will involve a lot of changes for FIP teams in terms of organization, methodology and processes. For all these challenges, it will be necessary to support them by: Managing the related requests in project mode according to the priority defined by managers; Contributing to the change management, involving the teams in the transformation of the department sharing changes, training and guidelines

Profile and Skills to Success

  • Business School or Master’s degree or Engineering school 
  • At least 7 years of professional experience in banking sector and/or audit/accounting or consulting or management control
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in project activity as project manager
  • Fluency in english
  • Knowledgement of Financial Information Systems
  • Proficiency in MS Office Pack Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, Access, PowerPoint

About the Team

  • Within Finance & Strategy function, Finance Implementation Projects – FIP teams: Lead the end-to-end implementation of business and regulatory projects by responding to Business Line and Finance requirements; Contribute to transformation initiatives according to the Finance strategy; Implement and maintain a harmonized Finance operating model across BNP Paribas Group; Contribute to migration projects relying on the regional set up in Europe, Asia, and Americas; Collaborate with a FIP community worldwide, ensuring a consistent approach of the Finance projects across the geographies
  • FIP teams are composed by 5 teams: FIP Capital Market Products and FIP Banking Products are in charge to drive and deliver end-to-end business and regulatory projects by responding to Business Line and Finance requirements; FIP Standards defines standard guidance and methodology used during projects; FIP Regulatory coordinate regulatory evolutions, studying and defining standard solutions; FIP Change Management Office and Permanent Control is responsible for leading transformation on FIP Global (impacting Paris, Madrid, Lisbon, London and other networks in APAC and AMERICAS)
  • Your team, FIP Standards, are experts in charge of: Definition of the guidelines in project management methodology; Definition of standards linked to the data model of the general ledger, the data governance principles of the accounting interpreter, and their architecture; Definition of the training modules of the department ensuring their consistency with the training path; Definition of processes involved the project management methodology or support to the Finance users; Validation of main deliverables of projects teams in regards of standards; Identification and lead of continuous improvement; Communication and change management on processes requiring FIP Standards expertise
