About the job

  • The Business Management Senior Officer takes ownership of tools and processes required for the management of a group of teams in all topics requiring transversal coordination or consolidation of information such as, for example, HR, Facilities, Finance or community management. They provide support to management processes of setting goals, planning and/or controlling the organization and leading the execution of any type of activity, such as a project or a process, being accountable for a wide variety of tasks impacting the business. Topics may include analysis and elaboration of various reports and presentations used by Top Management in decision making process and focusing on continuous improvement

Your Main Activities Are

  • Financials:
    • Manage and coordinate the financials for the full Digital and Data Office scope, including but is not limited to:
      • Run and monitor end to end invoicing process for services and products provided
      • Manage the forecast (actuals and accruals) and budget exercises
      • Manage the relationship with the financial departments
      • Coordinate the participation and submission of research and development tax incentive programs
  • Management of project portfolio: 
    • Manage of the portfolio of projects within its scope of teams 
    • Perform research and actively support ongoing transversal projects and initiatives
    • Prepare workshops or meetings with internal clients
  • Support of business decisions: 
    • Develop and own data models and dashboards, for example in Excel, SharePoint (amongst others), with the purpose of consolidating, analyzing and reporting data in a structured and articulated way to support and inform business decisions
    • Contribute to the development or maintenance of new data models and presentations in a large range of activities, such as budget monitoring, space management, monitoring of the recruitment, results of internal surveys, among others
    • Support senior management in strategic planning and decision-making by conducting studies and research
  • Team administration: 
    • Collaborate with external partners, such as auditors, recruiters, universities and governmental institutions
    • Ensure the deliverables and processes on Finance, HR, Operational Permanent Control, Business Continuity, Community Management, and other related to the management of a department within BNP Paribas are done with good quality and within the proper time frame
    • Maintain the knowledge management and audit trail processes, ensuring that the right information is being properly stored
    • Manage the internal communities, with the organization of events, management of internal sites, sharing of information via mailing list
  • Other: 
    • Opportunity to lead and mentor junior team members
    • Suggest, follow-up and implement continuous improvement or new projects that benefit and improve the management of the scope  

Profile and Skills to Success

  • Academic Degree in 

    Management, Economics, Finance, Business Administration or equivalent

  • At least 3 years of professional experience in Financial Management, Consulting, Auditing, Operational Management or other related fields  
  • Fluency in English
  • Analytical skills including strong modelling skills
  • Knowledge in accounting or management controlling
  • Great communication skills – oral & written
  • Ability to deliver / Results driven
  • Organized, ability to prioritize tasks
  • Detail oriented and rigorous
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite with a strong knowledge of Excel
  • Interest in Digital, Data and IA technologies
About the Team
  • The Strategy, Communication & Business Management Team is a transversal and multinational team within BNP Paribas CIB Data & Digital, made up of five people based in France and Portugal

  • Our team is responsible for carrying out strategic studies on data and digital subjects, drawing on internal research and expertise (e.g. benchmark on the final investments of our competitors)

  • We are also responsible for coordinating and producing internal and external communications on these subjects (e.g., external article on FinTech’s and AI).

  • Finally, we deal with team management for CIB Data & Digital. (e.g. monitoring of priorities, AI use cases, dashboard, recruiting and budget).

  • Our team is part of CIB’s Data & Digital team (100 people in all), made up of three other teams:

    • Analytics Consulting, in charge of AI, data visualization and data engineering projects
    • Data management
    • Digital, in charge of fintech investments, digital collaboration tools, promotion of agile practices and blockchain experiments within CIB
