The Global Markets business of BNP Paribas helps its corporate and institutional clients leverage capital markets across the globe for their financing, risk management and investment needs. Position Purpose

Prime is a bundle of services that investment banks and other major financial institutions offer to hedge funds and similar clients. The clients need such services when borrowing securities or cash for the purpose of netting to allow a specific asset to achieve a higher return. It includes a suite of applications catering to different streams like Cash, Synthetics, Trade Processing, Margin and Financing. Cash PB caters to equities, Synthetics PB on swaps, trade processing on processing of execution orders and allocating to the client accounts, financing caters to leveraging capabilities of the client/hedge to do business on margin and Margin systems deal with the actual daily margin calculations.

 

Result oriented Business Analyst for Synthetics Prime Brokerage with 5 to 8 years of experience. Can work with the team to produce high quality requirements and collaborate with development teams to deliver within timelines. The candidate should be functionally and technically inclined and with proven working record in the Banking, Capital markets, prime brokerage area.

 

Responsibilities

 

Direct Responsibilities

 

·       Lead projects through entire project lifecycle from feasibility study to delivery.

·       Lead the process to gather and document business requirements.

·       Convert business requirements into Functional specifications and System requirements.

·       Explain the functional/system requirements to the development team.

·       Setup and coordinate meetings associated with various project work-streams. 

·       Liaise with IT teams negotiating deliveries on the dependencies of the specific projects. 

·       Escalate blocking issues to the appropriate level of management. 

·       Provide regular reporting of deliveries against key milestones, proactive notification of risks and issues.

·       Investigation of any issues, determining root causes and obtaining resolution.

·       Develop Test Procedures for various deliverables, in collaboration with stakeholders.

·       Conduct qualification of releases, System Integrated testing, User Acceptance testing. 

·       Prepare User guides, Business Cases, Training Material, Production Support procedures 

·       Take ownership of project deliverables against agreed scope, budget and timeline.

·       Drive project delivery by maintaining project plans, organize status meetings, and prepare minutes. Develop user training and user guides.

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

 

Functional/Technical:

·       Sound knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) activities

·       Capital markets Products – Must know Cash Equities, Equity Derivatives & Bonds.

·       Corporate Actions, Trade lifecycle and regulatory reporting of above products.

·       Working knowledge on synthetics/Cash PB trading will be great.

·       Capture and document user requirements, both explicit and implied.

·       Clear, Concise specifications to communicate effectively with IT Dev/Support & users.

·       Structured testing (write, execute and maintain test plans).

·       Comfortable with MS-Excel, Word, PPT & Visio.

·       Working knowledge of SQL.

·       Knowledge of Agile methodologies and JIRA would be nice to have.
