Team Leader in Depositary Fund Accounting

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years years of relevant experience in Fund Accounting
  • At least 3 years of proven experience in Team supervision, with ability to delegate and to gain the commitment among team members
  • University degree, preferably in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related fields
  • Great communication skills, with English at least on C1 level, German would be considered an asset 
  • Experience in planning, initiating and following through to meet objectives
  • Ability to identify, recommend and implement improvements to existing processes
  • Proficient command of MS Office (proficient knowledge of Excel)
  • Ability to work effectively and demonstrate initiative with client focused mindset
  • Proven organizational and critical thinking skills, with focus on problem solving and decision making abilities

Responsibilities: 

  • Managing a team of 8-10 members in NAV accounting processing for Germany- based investment funds (fund administrator model). Including but not limited to:
    • Conducting annual performance appraisals and provide regular feedback based on goals for direct reports
    • Conducting teams’ performance management and set career development goals and training plans
    • Planning, scheduling, and managing the daily workflow, be able to flexibly arrange work among the team;
  • Providing technical and specialist support to the Team
  • Ensuring Fund Accounting requirements are met and procedures are followed
  • Notifying local management of operational challenges when needed
  • Working with Senior Management in controls and risk management
  • Overseeing all internal or external audits and ensure a desired level of report is received
  • Creating, developing and maintaining business relationships with relevant stakeholder
