Asset Finance and Securitisation (AFS) includes Securitised Products Group (SPG) and Real Assets. This position will lead the ABS Credit Management team within SPG, that covers lending against a variety of financial asset classes (including auto, consumer, trade, equipment, solar).

Responsibilities: 

ABS Credit Management VP will be senior member of ABS Credit Management team, working closely with the head of ABS Credit Management on the full credit process including training and managing junior headcount located in Lisbon, Portugal. 

 

  1. Transaction Management:
  • Manage the credit process and workflow end to end, ensuring quality of all credit proposals submitted to Risk
  • Liaise with the Origination and Structuring team and functions including Risk, Legal, and MO through the full deal life cycle for new and existing transactions
  • Work with senior originators and analytics experts on transaction modelling and stress tests
  • Participate in due diligence for prospective and existing clients
  • Point person for transaction level profitability analysis, including advice on funding and RWA optimization to Origination and Structuring team 

 

  1. Portfolio Monitoring:
  • Ensure ongoing monitoring of transaction performance by the team, including updates and review of quarterly performance and watchlist reports
  • Onboard all new transactions with third party monitoring platform (Oxane), and maintain data quality
  • Assist the quarterly capital process and compliance with internal credit and rating methodologies
  • Track completion of annual transaction audits and work with Origination and Structuring team to remedy late or missing audits

 

  1. Transaction Execution:
  • Preparation of internal documentation for deal closing and booking
  • Review of operational aspects of legal documentation in conjunction with Portfolio Management team; document and advise team on operational risks
  • Key coordinator for deal closings among the Origination and Structuring, Credit Management, Portfolio Management, Middle Office, and Legal teams

 

  1. Transversal Topics:
  • Maintain and update internal policies and procedures
  • Get acquainted with European Regulation on the capital treatment
  • Improve internal loss analysis and stress methodologies
  • Ongoing efficiency improvements of tools and processes to support growing activity
  • Contribute to the budget and forecasting process

 

 

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree minimum, preferably in Finance, Economics, or Math
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong knowledge on securitization and experience on ABS Securitization credit analysis
  • Excel skills are crucial; VBA, Access/database skills are a plus
  • Understanding and analysing complex products, related risks, and underlying legal documentation
  • Knowledge of capital, liquidity, EU regulation, and accounting rules regarding securitization
  • Ability to communicate and develop good working relationships with different departments both locally and offshore (AFS Structuring and Origination, Middle Office, Finance, Risk, Legal, IT, etc.)
  • Strong initiative, commitment, and willingness and ability to learn
  • Ability to analyse and synthesise complex information, including legal documentation and large datasets
  • Flexible, good team player
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver within tight deadlines while maintaining high standards

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Management experience and working with offshore teams are a plus

The expected starting salary range for this position is between $225,000 to $245,000 annually. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business line, and geographic/office location.
