Overview:

Global
Prime Services technology is seeking a senior application developer for the
Prime Broker Product Referential application platform. The platform is
responsible for managing the Product Referential data – a critical function for
the Prime Brokerage client and user community. The Product Referential system serves as a transversal service provider –
across multiple business lines – to all the dependent systems providing
critical Product and Pricing Referential data for all asset classes to support
key business functions such as Trade processing, Securities Financing, Margin
& Risk computations, and Client, Firm and Regulatory Reporting

Responsibilities:

  • Candidate will work closely with internal
    business users and team manager to understand the requirements and provide
    business process automation ideas and solutions.
  • Participate in all facets of Software
    Development Lifecycle covering requirement analysis, design, architecture,
    implementation, delivery and maintenance of the application.
  • Design and develop scalable and flexible
    applications along with performance tuning and optimization configuration.
  • Interface, as necessary, with other IT
    teams in the delivery of product solutions.
  • Learning intricacies of bank’s Prime
    Brokerage IT workflows and infrastructure.
  • Ensuring adherence to all relevant
    compliance and regulatory policies.
  • Ensuring that all development is
    completed in line with the company’s technical architecture and IT
    security standards.
  • Manage multiple priorities effectively
    and deliver the projects in timely fashion.
  • Coordinating development efforts between
    the offshore development and QA teams.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Functional & Technical
    • 10+ years of experience
      developing flexible, scalable and robust applications, supporting the
      financial services sector
    • Strong and
      demonstrated experience in using Java, Spring Container/Spring Boot/ Spring
      Batch and Hibernate or similar frameworks
    • Experience in design
      and building scalable, distributed applications capable of supporting
      straight through processing of a large number of transactions
    • Experience in Capital
      Markets, preferably Prime Brokerage
    • Architectures
      using Distributed caching using  EhCache / Gigaspaces or similar
      engines
    • Experience using
      web services using REST based API
    • Messaging using
      JMS/MQ/Kafka/Tibco or similar products

Web development experience with GWT/GXT like frameworks & Java
script libraries like EXT JS/ NodeJs /React

Experience with Cloud Technologies

    • Data modelling,
      SQL expertise using Oracle, SQL Server
    • Knowledge of UNIX
      shell scripting

The expected starting salary range for this
position is between $120k to $200k annually. The actual salary may vary based
upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience,
time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business line,
and geographic/office location.
