The Analytics team within the Algo Trading department is seeking a Software Engineer passionate about data analysis and high-performance software development, capable of processing and displaying millions of transaction messages daily.
The mission of this team is to build the next generation of data and analytics platforms, enabling our hedging traders to gain valuable real-time insights into algorithmic execution behavior on a global scale. The team operates in an agile and collaborative manner, working closely with Quants and the Front Office.
Leveraging your technical expertise, you will be responsible for:
- Managing project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
- Designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and improving software solutions.

Candidates will be evaluated based on four Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), which will determine how their individual impact is assessed within the Americas platform:

Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the Equities Algorithmic Trading Analytics Platform.
- Interface directly with business users to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Participate in architectural discussions to contribute to the platform’s strategic roadmap.
- Assist the Level 1 support team in the event of incidents or outages.
- Collaborate with local and international teams (multi-disciplinary teams spread globally).
- Independently drive projects from end to end: participating in design, development, and code reviews, and working with QA and Production Support teams for deployments.

- Five or more years of experience in Java development.
- Professional proficiency in English is required.
- Relevant educational background (BSc, MSc, PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience).
- Excellent mastery of Java middleware layer development.
- Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
- Proficiency in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices for development and deployment.
- Experience in a robust technological environment, with a solid understanding of software development best practices and change control procedures.
- Experience in finance / Front Office technology.
- Good knowledge of Linux (operating system, scripting, common tools).
- Understanding of the FIX protocol and its connection to order transaction data in equity markets.
- Experience with KDB/q is an advantage.
- Proficiency in SQL for databases is a plus.
